THE LAMB OF GOD

I have just finished reading THE LAMB OF GOD by Shane K P O’Neill, a prequel to the LUCIFER AGENDA SERIES, and it was not what I expected at all. It was a riveting, unforgettable read. Easily devoured in one sitting.

Although this story is fiction you can see the research that went into writing this as the biblical account of the Creation and Crucifixion are indeed fact. But this is in no way a bible story you are familiar with. The Author has entwined fact with fiction and written a spell binding account of these events through the eyes of Lucifer. You are taken into a fantasy world of heaven and earth where angels walk among mortal man and even the building of Noah’s Ark and The Flood take on a whole new meaning.

The Author talks of God or Higher Power, depending on your faith, with the highest respect. He is as an all knowing, caring and loving being, disappointed by the failures of mankind sending his son to pay the ultimate price.

I was curious to see how this story would eventually lead onto the tales of vampires. I was not disappointed. The battle between good and evil and Lucifer’s quest to seek revenge brings a new twist to the story. Not to give away any spoilers, but it is at this moment that you see how this amazing writer has linked us through to his upcoming series.

If this prequel is a sample of things to come in the Lucifer Agenda Series I am definitely going to add these to my list of pre-ordered books.

Shane KP O’Neill is the writer of The Lucifer Agenda and The Lucifer Covenant, two new and exciting series of epic dark medieval fantasy adding a fresh dimension to the Dracula legend, which combines the real historical Vlad Dracula with a new and different version of Dracula the vampire. The first series follows Dracula the man and the second Dracula the vampire. The author has had a lifelong fascination with Dracula. Like many others he was enthralled by Christopher Lee’s portrayal of him on the big screen. It was in his late teens that he discovered Dracula the man, and the love affair began from there. An avid lover of history, he studied the period in which the real historical Vlad Dracula lived, 15th Century Balkan, for many years. It followed from there then that with his love of writing he would always choose Dracula as his subject. He built a concept and premise, centring on the Divine Drama – the battle of Heaven versus Hell – where he could accommodate both man and vampire. Away from writing, the author has a wide range of interests. He reads a lot of books from a wide variety of authors, though his main interest lies in the horror and historical genres. His love of books is matched only by his love of the countryside and of course, his family. As an added note, he has lived and travelled all over the world. He has a love for all things historical, with a particular fascination for medieval Europe. Anywhere he travels, he likes to search out locations with an historical interest and will always hunt for the ruins of an old castle before heading to the beach.
